Drive 4 hours south and it’s 70 degrees on the beach in Mexico.....puerto penasco aka rocky point.
Drive 1 hour into the desert to camp in the 60-70s
Drive 2 hours north and camp in the snow.
Stay in Phoenix and never have to winterize.

My friend of 63 years just retired to Florida. He likes it but is lamenting the fact there is no seasonal change.
