Covid campers. This year, more than any other I can remember in a decade, is almost impossible to get into a SP on a whim. They are booked out for months. I know some folks on here say they continue to wing it with no issues, but that hasn't been my experience at all. Part of the fun of owning an RV is spontaneity. Not any more.
Agreed. Back in 1987 when we started RVing you could just about wing it all the time. Those days are long gone. That definitely takes some of the fun out of RVing. Stealth camping is the way to go now if you want to be spontaneous.
