As someone who full-times in a 40' MH and as an administrator of RVParkReviews, I agree that the term "Big Rig Friendly" is ambiguous at best and often is very misleading. Unfortunately, what constitutes a big rig friendly park is not an easily defined set of parameters. First of all, what defines a big rig and do you mean a big MH or a large 5th wheel? Does defining it as friendly mean that the roadways are wide and the turns easy or is it because the sites are really long? Or both? Furthermore, how skilled a driver are you? What may seem like challenging maneuvering for person may not be so difficult for someone else.
Personally, when I call to make reservations I always tell people I have a 40' MH and am towing a vehicle. Once in a while I've been told there are no spots big enough for us. But I've never been unable to park in a site once it has been assigned to us. Some have been easier than others to get into and out of and a few have resulted in "brush burns" from nearby branches, but in 35,000 miles of traveling we've never had to leave a park because we couldn't get into our site.
