At DH's cousin's house in southern Louisiana, we camp in the backyard several yards from the house. Occasionally when we return to the motorhome at the close of the evening, they are yipping and howling in the fields behind us. It's spooky because it's pitch black out there in the country. It is kind of neat to hear them, but it scares me. Cousin said one night he was in the barn right behind where we park the motorhome and he could hear them and said they must have been chasing something and roared right past the barn. I feel safe in the motorhome listening to them, but don't want to venture out. Our dogs are always on leashes when we walk them anywhere, but there we bust out more lights when they go out after dark!
