Solar battery maintainer for storage

Hi just about to move storage and loose the plug in facility, so we are going to need a solar battery maintainer. What have people used and rating? Coming to the conclusion that 1.5 w is too small and 5 w sounds about right. (Storing in Las Vegas so should be plenty of sun!)
Thanks

  • Think I'd remove the battery(s) and keep them at home with a Battery Tender on them.
  • Twenty watts is what we recommend to our customers in the northeast. You can go higher, but you should also put in a controller that will stop charging at some set voltage. I have 200 watts and a Grape Solar 40 w controller (recommended by several RV.net members).

If flooded cell, be sure to monitor the water levels.
