So maybe $600 shipped for prime components and $400 of wire, supplies and tools so $1,000 max in parts.
The additional $5,000 for install, markup and profit seems a bit much.
Kit probably has more stuff than you need or even want. 3000w inverter? New converter? etc, etc.
