Yesterday, the Feds refused to reopen Smoky Mtn Park, even after the govs said they would pick up the costs. Feds said "not fair" to reopen one, but not all.
Isn't that like saying we have two patients that need a new heart. We have one available. So, we will not give either one the heart, because if would not be "fair" to the other!
What a joke. Just making it as hard on people as possible.
Just more proof that this White House Administration is spiteful. Every time I hear of one of these tantrums like that, lean more to the right.
In the meantime; states that are willing to pay to keep parks open I have a problem with too. That's tax payer money, not 'state' money, not governor's money, it's taxpayer money. Taxpayers ALREADY paid to keep the park open. Just because there isn't a budget, doesn't mean there isn't MONEY! The government is still bringing in all the revenue it was before PLUS it's not paying back out the 2/3rds of it in payroll. Yes; 2/3rds of the federal budget is payroll for federal employees. The federal government ought to be rolling in money.
So now we taxpayers get screwed twice to keep parks open. Gee thanks. I think......
