ShakyJay is right about the Anti Deficiency Act. That is a sure fire way to go to Jail.. obligate the fed govt to spend money that hasn't been appropriated.
I work for DoD and have spent an inordinate time just trying to figure out how to bring 8 folks home from deployment. Everyone says efforts to support the war are excepted and should continue, but no one can tell us the way to do it and not be violating the ADA. I really love supporting our troops, but this is turning me greyer than I was.
