Somebody educate me on "Nitrogen" in the tires ?

We just bought a new Travel trailer and I never noticed at the dealers, but saw a sticker on the side today that said there is nitrogen in the tires. Someone please explain what this is for. Jack ...

It's a useful tool for transferring that green stuff in your billfold into the hands of the service station putting nitrogen in your tires. Other than that, just hype.
