It may be just activated charcoal/carbon from the Camco filter.
Read on for my experience...
I use one of these Camco hose filters:
Before I first used it, I hooked it up to a hose to run water through it (rinsing it out before first use). I was surprised to see black water and some black particles come out of it. The black water and particles stopped after just a second or two and the water ran clear after that.
It turns out the Camco filter is a "carbon" filter: "High-flow carbon filter with KDF to help prevent bacteria growth"

So for me, I was sure some of the carbon particles (probably activated charcoal) were just being rinsed out on first use after being assembled.
So I always run water through my Camco water filter before hooking up to my trailer. And I haven't seen any more dark water or black particles since.
