Somehow got sediment in the fresh water tank
Out of the kitchen faucit, the water contains little black and clear specks. They are tiny but visible in the light and it's making me paranoid. Not a lot but maybe 10 specs in a 6oz cup. I don't know...

The first thing I thought of also was the filter. Did you put on a new filter before filling?
Is the filter for sediments or just for taste? Not all filters work the same.
If you sanitized and rinsed 3x four months ago, your tank should be more than clean.
Personally, I wouldn't worry about it and I think your filter is the problem.
Try shining a flashlight in the glass of water at a restaurant and see what shows. :)
