Somehow got sediment in the fresh water tank
Out of the kitchen faucit, the water contains little black and clear specks. They are tiny but visible in the light and it's making me paranoid. Not a lot but maybe 10 specs in a 6oz cup. I don't know...

This is pretty much why I NEVER use the tank water for drinking or cooking.
But if I DID, the filter would be on the output of the pump......and maybe on the input too if the source is suspect.
