Happened twice to me... Sears Diehards... then I got smart,
pulled the batteries...left the box open (lid off) ... and
put the battery on a trickle charge in my locked garage.
Would be a good marketing ploy for a business in the business
of selling battery protection to post "stolen battery" stories
on the web to generate business.... nah, that wouldn't happen ,
would it ????
oh,....here is another bit o' bad luck I've had... took my
battery to a local chain store "free charging".... the battery
they tried to give me back was not mine... they had given mine
away....live and learn.
Harold ...similar story... T-tops off my 300zx (when new) , broke
a window, left no prints, snapped both handles with a screwdriver,
probably 30 seconds total . To buy back new about $1200 per... so,
buy back from a warehouse full of stolen T-tops...$600 per. Probably
bought my own originals back. Same deal here in Az. with truck tailgates.
