My late parents, immigrants, came to live with my wife and I when our kids were born. They were up for anything and often went camping with us which was very far out of their experience. Dad had his own routines and moved so slow. We often went about our day allowing them to move at their own pace and do their own thing.
One morning I asked Mom, "where's dad?"
"He's taking a shower." She answered.
About a half hour later I asked Mom, "where's dad?"
"I told you he's taking a shower."
About a half hour later we repeated the same conversation. Sons and I went to the shower and no dad. We walked all around the campground, no dad. Finally he comes walking back happy as can be. He took a shower at the owners house instead of at the camp shower. Owner was very understanding when we told him. He even laughed.... I bet he started locking his door after that incident.
