We arrived at the Steamboat Springs, CO campground a couple of years ago and got a pull thru site. These are such that you are patio to patio. And the patio pads could not have been more than 2 foot apart - at most.
Well, our "patio neighbors" had a tent pitched at the end of the patio (rules prohibit tents except in tent section) and they also moved their picnic table such that they could use the bench of the one side of OUR picnic table for their use. And, of course, it was so tight there that the only way they could get back and forth was to walk between OUR PICNIC TABLE AND OUR 5ER. Honest to God.
I complained to them. Yeh, lots of luck. And to the management who told me it was against the rules. But they never went to enforce it.
Then the 2nd night it rained - and the rain ran from the roof of their trailer on to their tent. I wake up in the morning and the tent is now pitched up against OUR 5er kinda under our awning. Hey, I can't make this up and I do have pictures.
I get up pretty early and needless to say the people in that tent were awake shortly after me! But they did not move it.
Off to the office and the manager could care less. And no refunds!
And we had 4 more days to go.
Young girl working in the office looked like she could cry.
Well, the manager left for a moment and the young girl said she was to be the manager at the end of the month and she got in and got me the refund in a New York minute. Said not to worry about it.
We left.
