So here is the question, I know the Chinese tires have a bad rap and I know they are of low quality. But how much of the problem do you think is because of simply going to fast for the tire? How many of you who travel under 65mph (where are you guys btw?) have had blowouts?
None in my case.
I've broken every single rule when it comes to tires. I've had the cheapest tires one can put on my trailer. Driven 80 MPH for hours at a time (all legally) in the heat of summer. Most of the roads I travel on are 75 MPH so that's where I'm at. Mostly in 90 to 100 degree weather. Only switched to radials 4 years ago. Before that, they were cheap bias tires.
In over 35 years of towing my results? One tire that came apart. I'm sure it had a nail in it and went flat and I didn't catch it in time.
One rule I don't play with is pressure. I ALWAYS air then up to max pressure and even 10 over a lot of times. I do not screw around with load tables. With my luck I don't need too! ;)
