Speed traps Fl hwy 301
Most people know that the towns of Lawtey and Waldo in Fl on US Hwy 301 are speed traps. I just read another article that adds Hampton in Bradford County, on US Hwy 301 to this list.

I consider it a speed trap anytime the speed limit is strictly enforced and is set far lower than the traffic and road conditions dictate. Having lived in this area for 30+ years I can tell you the town of Waldo had been forced to raise their speed limits by the state of Florida at least once.
We have a road near my home that was a two-lane, potholed 45 MPH road two years ago. It has since been four-laned and is nice and smooth with turn lanes for every intersection. It now has a speed limit of 40 MPH?? :h
