Just booked our first camping trip for next month on the Easter long weekend, woohoo. Can't come soon enough. :)Has been a fairly mild winter out here this year. For those in the snowbound east, hang in there... After last year's drought and forest fires, have to wonder what the summer will bring this time. Just bought a pre-owned Thousand Trails membership with all the extras and will get us into CGs all over the US. We're dumping our old CG membership (not TT) that was only good in Wa. state. Can't wait to see some new CGs farther afield and that won't cost us an arm and a leg.End of post, 'nuf said, gotta go. Busy today planning a long trip to Monterey for Aug. Woohoo again. :D

:hOur first trip of the year was over New Years, what is this waiting for Spring BS???Langley BC, is not that far from the Oregon Coast.

We already have 18 nights since Christmas and will do 3 more the week after next. :)

80 degrees today in Arizona. :) Lots of folks camping.

Congrats on your new TT membership and I bet you will have tons of fun exploring alot of new cgs!! nice adventure!We are booked 5 days at the beach over Easter school break. Can't wait either :), raring to go RVing and surf fishing and metal detecting and indoor pool and relaxing :)

There is no corner on the west coast we camp year round, and have a couple SP that one will be full and the other only has 24 out of 281 sites available, next weekend.

We have our 1st reservations for the last weekend in April. The campground doesnt actually open until that Sunday but they will have the electricity on and it will be free camping. Hell yea!!! Supposed to be in the upper 40's this weekend so may open up the slides and get my new chairs in there and get the trim finished on my new fireplace. May even turn the furnace on and stay in there friday night

Actually,,, This weekend it is only suppose to be 30 for the lows and 45 for the high's. I would go camping in that but, the campgrounds are all still plugged up with snow.

Cool weather camping is a lot more fun in the fall before we get feet of snow.

I have been out in March but, usually April is the earliest for me.

Why wait for Spring?

We have had 2 two week trips since 1/1 and a couple shorter trips. We are currently camped in the Sierras. A little cool at night but the days are fine.

We plan to hookup the TT Wednesday for a three day trip to where it is 50 degrees! Booked trips for May and August so far.

We had a 2 day blizzard last Monday / Tuesday and another one Sunday / Monday this week. This high temp this Saturday is suppose to be 8 degrees. On the positive side it is only suppose to get down to 4 degrees Saturday night.

It's gonna be awhile before I do any camping. :(

Um, well, maybe it's because if your weather is like the rest of Portland, it's weird? ;)

The Easter weekend has become our first trip out each year and we can count on it being camp-able. It's usually still c-c-cold out and often raining. However, no sooner did I start this thread, the next day (yesterday), we had a sudden and rather unusual heat wave and it was 63F here and sunny. Today is shaping up to be the same. Wow it's nice! Back to normal tomorrow tho. :(

Some summer days aren't even this nice. Hopefully global warming hasn't started early this year.

It is the same down here in Portland, wish I could have spent the last three days on the Coast in summer like weather.

We have spent the last three New Years on the central Oregon Coast and have had decent weather every year.
