a pellet gun and good shot to the head fixes them every time
Too much risk of collateral damage.
notice i said a good shot
You. did. But a pellet gun ain't that accurate.
You got the wrong pellet gun. Mine will hold 1/2 inch at 50 yards. Beyond 50 yards, I wouldn't use a pellet gun. But it wasn't cheap. My pellet gun/scope combo was about $700. And the best investment I ever made.
I bought a house that had squirrels in the attic for YEARS. I spent 2 years trapping/relocating, denying access, putting odorants, etc with no result. Finally, I spent the money to buy an ACCURATE pellet gun. In the last 3 years, I have killed over 200 squirrels in my yard. It has now been 3 years since I had a squirrel in the attic.
BTW, I have a Beeman R9 in .22 caliber. It is a good, accurate gun.
