- LantleyNomadI had what appears to be the same unit. I purchased it from Sam's. I was not happy with it. Did not cook very well. It was a bit hard to clean as well. I sold it on Craig's list for $50.00
Do yourself a favor and return it now. Add the difference and get a Weber Q top choice top dollar or a Coleman Roadtrip 2nd choice.
I believe the Weber is a better grill overall. Well built, holds the heat well. but I like the Coleman because it comes with a stand attached and does not require a table. - dalenoelExplorer II88% of the people who bought that exact grill would recommend it to friends. Sounds like a pretty good gift in my book. Congrats and enjoy.
- jmcnabExplorerGuys you are ruining his Christmas gift... it might be a great BBQ and work out just fine for John.
He can't return the xmas gift from his wife.... - IAMICHABODExplorer III had the same one from Sams and had to return it because of its terrible design. It would not keep a constant temp, the holes around exterior had to be plugged to keep a decent temp to cook on.
The burners did not keep the same temp with one hotter than the other.
The instructions show how to adjust the burners and after I spent an Hour dis-assembling it to get to the adjustment only to find that it had been tak welded in place.
I have to say that returning it to Sams was painless they just refunded my money and put it on a pallet with about 20 others that had been returned.
good luck with yours.....
I will stay with my Weber 200 Q - Swampman597ExplorerI've had one for over a year and agree with donn0128 about the Weber Q. Mine also has one of the knobs that quit working but I find it easy to just turn the shaft using my fingers without the knob. Its a good unit but just too big and really bulky. I also got the griddle top for it too and its a nice addition but also somewhat awkward to handle. I'll keep using it until I find a Weber Q on sale sometime.
- naturistNomadSimilar is not the same.
I have exactly that grill. I got it 2 years ago, and have used it camping for two seasons, after modifying it to run off the low pressure line on my TT. It works fine. Been happy with it, works great. - donn0128Explorer IIHad one similar from CW. It was horrible. Quit in less than a month. Total junk. Take it back get a Weber Q series. You won't regret it one bit
