- hawkeye-08Explorer IIIWe that one (or one very similar). It works ok, was hoping for better quality but it will be fine.
- 48fordExplorerWe have a similar one bought from Costco. Has worked well for a couple of years.

I didn't read all 3 pages of this thread. I have a portable gas grill that says made by Singer on it. It also says "Made in the USA" I've used it for a few years but, it is getting a little rusty. I've looked at new ones and can never seem to find one that says "Made in the USA" on it and I don't want a cheap Chinese made thing.
If anyone ever finds a USA made quality one let me know.
Here is some good quality. Not cheap but you won't be replacing any time soon. Not sold by RV accessory suppliers.

Dak - Ron3rdExplorer III10 year old Weber Q in the back of the pick up. Built like a tank, lasts dern near forever.
- VeebyesExplorer IINo doubt the DW had good intentions however & $99 it is most definetly a budget grill. Don't expect the durability out of it that you will get from a pricier grill.
If you are only occasional users it may be just fine. If you are longtime or fulltime travelers don't be surprised if it does not last a season. - bobcouchExplorer

Don't let the nay sayers fool you. A lot of the effective grilling is in the method not the equipment. I have used a $39.00 table top gas grill from Wal-mart for the last several years..over 10 to be truthful. Once how I learned how it worked, I can cook anything just as good as the folk with the high priced grills. If fact I have one at home as well that I use often when just cooking for two even though I have a commercial type gas grill in my outdoor kitchen at home as well as a BGE that is more trouble than it is worth to me. Technique often out does the price or style of the equipment.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
When I was outfitting our 5er, I decided I couldn't justify the cost of a Weber, so I bought two little grills from Walmart that each cost less than $30. They both look like this
One was propane and one was charcoal. I figured I would use them a year or so and throw them away when they wore out. They haven't lasted 10 years yet, but it's been over 6 and they're both still going strong. We use one or the other almost every day when on the road, and I often use the little charcoal grill at home when just cooking for the wife and me.
That kind of return on investment is hard to beat. - IAMICHABODExplorer II

The OP ask for opinions and comments. If the OP wants us naysayers who where dissatisfied with the grill to lie and say it worked great what's the point?
My intention was not to be mean, but to be honest.
Hopefully I could spare the OP the mistake and aggravation that I experienced.
Sometimes the truth hurts! Interestingly enough I was not the only one unhappy with the grill.
I have to agree with Lantley on this one. I was honest in my comments, I really wanted this grill to work. It was the right size and had a flat top so storing it in my large bay I could stack stuff on it, It was Stainless, who dosnt like that? Its short comings were epic, I really wanted to have it work. It was even $20 cheaper that what she payed for it when I bought mine at Sams. But it was almost useless in any type of wind or breeze.
As Bob Quinn has stated the burners are un even, and as I said I really wanted to have this grill work or I would not have spent the time to try to adjust the flame as the instruction had made special mention about.only to find that could not be done. It seemed that they knew of the problem or it would not have adressed it in the instructions. I hope it works for him.
As for messing up a Christmas gift and maybe having to return it, I know the pain........:B
Last year I wanted One Of These it is small and easy to store.
What I got was One of These and it had to go back.......some times things don't work out but the good intentions and love was there. :) - Bob_QuinnExplorerHi, I have one and it has been working great! It's a little harder to clean than my last one (weber), but if I keep up with it , its not that bad. The left burner does'nt put out as much heat as the main (right) burner, but you'll learn how to compensate for that.
