i have an 09 ram with the typical mirrors on it.... since i got this truck after the snow started, i haven't been able to back up to my trailer yet... sooo, im wondering if the standard mirror are big enough to see behind me 30' TT?im having a hard time finding the folding/heated mirrors.... my '05 mirrors were OK for the little distance i would pull.... but i could barely see behind the trailer. the '09 mirrors do seem to be bigger.. and were towing further this year with itso, will they be ok? or am i gonna have to wait until spring to find out?

I have a 2012 Silerado with a 27 foot TT and I had to buy the clip on mirrors to see around my trailer.

I carry a couple of these CIPA side mirror add-on (AMAZON) if I need a better view than the standard mirror gives...These have a adjustable knob on them that really holds them in place. No problem at all going down the road using them...Roy Ken

No mirrors will let you see behind an 8' wide trailer. Under $50 for custom clip on extension mirrors. I have this brand on my Suburban and like them a little more than the CIPA clamp on equivalent. Otherwise, $235 for OEM clones.

I had the slip on mirrors on my F150 and didn't really care for them. They are okay mirrors. I am purchasing These JR Products Towing Mirrors for my Town and Country van. They have some really great reviews on them. Thanks!Jeremiah

I have the slips for my 05... I hated them. They vibrated to much...couldn't even see out of them. I wanna avoid slip on this time I think

I for one will not tow without proper mirrors. The inside edge of them need to be as wide or wider than the width of the trailer.

Strangely enough the STOCK mirrors on my 2014 Dodge Ram 2500 are fine for towing...not ideal mind you but you can see down both sides of the trailer clearly.

But the Ram is a wide body pick up with an overall body width of 79.4 inches (mirrors not included) I am not sure of the width of the Chevy but they look slimmer to me.

I added some strap on mirrors which work well but the mirror area is not as large as I would like. And even with them on I find myself using my standard mirrors more.

You might try Discount Auto Mirror. This is where I got OEM style flip up towing mirrors for my 2001.

Here's my suggestion. Buy towing mirrors. I had the extensions on my Yukon XL. They worked but not great. Had to put a strap around them to keep them on, they vibrated, and eventually one flew off going down the highway leaving a small crack in the front of my trailer.

Tried the clip on route and didn't know how bad they were till I went on line and got factory tow mirrors.....what a difference....oh and easy to replace too....
