That's kinda true, but not necessarily the same amount of FRESH water and not necessarily close to cities or in high elevations or in aquifers where we need it to make transportation to market easier.

Secondly, the water on earth came from somewhere. It didn't appear here by magic. There are ice meteors that fall upon the earth every day that add more water to our planet. Over billions of years, they filled our oceans.
