We use the pink stuff to flush the toilet on the way. It should already have a gallon or more in it. We use bottled water to drink. We keep the furnace on and set at about 50 degrees.
To sanitize we hook up the white hose to the RV FW Tank inlet then pour 3/4 Cup of bleach into the hose, connect to the CG supply, fill the FW tank, run the pump to get the bleach solution into the lines and the water heater, then refill the FW tank. Drive for at least three hours then open the FW tank drain valve and let it drain while on the road. Dump the Water Heater at a Rest Area, while on the road, or at the next CG. Flush the system with fresh water and you are good to go.
BTW we don't use the CG water supply inlet to the camper.
