- Cube58ExplorerI bought One & hooked it up to my Good Sam GPS System For Traffic & Weather as I am Driving. It's also handy when parked Over night in a Walmart lot. Works Well & have no complaints. Internet access without 'breaking the bank'.
- mlts22ExplorerI've found that the terms/conditions can vary. A friend of mine has one of these with "unlimited" 3G, but if he upgrades to 4G, it is $70 for 4 gigs a month.

If you go to http://www.straighttalk.com and click on the Terms and Conditions that is at the bottom of the page, you'll find the below section. All bolding and emphasis is mine. Straight Talk is TracFone Wireless and comes with a lot of caveats. I'm not a fan - like the below...Unlimited = unlimited, until they say it doesn't = unlimited.
My interpretation of it is that streaming anything - voice, audio, video - is not allowed. Example: not being allowed to watch the real time video from the security cameras at your S&B home. And what is the definition of "ordinary content Downloads"?
Even the last sentence is interesting. If they take action against you, they may give you prior notice of it...or maybe not....

I read it as 'CONTINOUS" streaming of video or data as in a commercial type video viewing is not allowed. Not the viewing of a movie or downloads as you would do normally in a day to day household. - gotsmartExplorerIf you go to http://www.straighttalk.com and click on the Terms and Conditions that is at the bottom of the page, you'll find the below section. ... - aruba5erExplorerI am using a Verizon Mi Fi right now. Have for about 5 years so it's still 3g. works alright but 4g phone is faster. I guess whats the hurry, I'm not going anywhere. Check the same thing at Walmart. I think they have the MIFI at less money and it works on Verizon network.Cheaper Mine is 5G's for $50 a month
- badboy368Exploreri use the verizon personal hotspot and i love it. good coverage, fast, picks up 4g if avail. or 3g...

IMHO it is foolish to invest any money in 3G hardware when it is essentially obsolete. The 4G network is available nearly everywhere in the US and you can use Millenicom to access it if you don't want to pay Verizon's prices.
yes 4G is faster than 3G
BUT
the question was about "Straight Talk" from Walmart
Not about a Verizon contract - AcampingwewillgExplorer IIIm using the Walmart "Internet on the Go" right this minute from our campground in Pismo Beach. Yes, its 3G but for my purposes, this program is great. The access cards I have are 4-5 gig's over a year long period. Since Im not a full-timer, Im still on my initial card I purchased last July. I certainly don't need to pay a monthly fee just so I can have 4g coverage....IMHO.
