That sounds like a variant of the "Mayflower" insignia. The fact that you saw it - it would normally only be used openly on a closed base or secured incident location - means that something was happening FAST. So fast, they didn't have time to use any of their established covert vehicles.
They can usually get the Piggly Wiggly truck anywhere in the USA pretty quick.
