I have never been asked to borrow anything but myself had to once ask to borrow the neighbors kid to squeeze into a window when we locked our keys in camper. I was so moved at how they were so willing to help! That kid fit right into the window opening and went right in and unlocked our door!!!! And the kid felt like a proper hero for helping us out. (and we made him feel like a proper hero)
