I feel your pain….had a similar experience with AAA I posted here several years ago when my power steering pump broke in Mathews Va.
Like you had to take care of the situation myself; truck was towed 4 hours later after a rendition of “who’s on first” and them trying to send a tow truck from 150 miles away. My take away from the experience was to ask for a different rep. if you are having trouble (may need to call back and ask for a supervisor) and to make sure they are from the region you are in.
