There's them that do it. Several years ago while pulling the boat out of the lake we saw a matched pair of 5er 3-axle toy haulers drive out of the campground towed by F150s. I guess some people can't under- (or should I say over- ?) estimate the hauling capabilities of a 1/2 ton pickup.

Stupidity is just a opinion and being legal does not make it stupid.
I'm really amazed at some RV folks lack of knowledge where a legal or safe rv double tow is concerned.
However with no tow vehicle size...... and how much weight was the so called 40' footer..... and what is a so called full size car or its weight its just a personnel opinion. I've noticed some folks from states that don't allow rv doubles get all wrought up when they see one and report it as dangerous or stupid or some other description .
Around here double towing rv's is very common. Nothing stupid or dangerous about it.

Desert Hot Springs once we saw a fifth come in with almost no clearance between the bed rails. He could have raised it up very easy. His friend behind him had a ton of clearance and could have lowered his so many it was dumber and dumber together. Might just be knowledge also that both didn't have.

Well looks like enough TW to reduce sway, and while the TV seems to have some squat, it doesn’t seem extreme, and part could be the level or lack thereof of the pavement.

Still would scare the bejebis out of me to pass or be passed by that rig.

1. Pickup make or model
2. Actual weight of fifth wheel (not TT)
3. Actual length of fifth wheel
4. What car, weight, etc

That is a lot of assumptions to make a point.

X2 without at least a picture or numbers it is all assumptions.

I don't know about double towing with cars, but just about every day here in the Florida Keys, we see a truck towing a fifth wheel with a boat on a trailer behind it
A friend of ours snowbirds here and comes from Wisconsin every year towing a fifth wheel with his motor boat on a trailer behind it.

Might want to be careful before you say that it is "stupid" !

And someone posted of a Triple Tow as well.

Many people do not know about the MCGVW rating of tow vehicles.

I have a friend who drove a motor home that is a match for mine basically (Different make and model but same Chassis and general design) He towed a full size SUV on a full trailer The Trailer was just about his towing capacity. THe SUV wa almost all overweight.

(He has since sold the Class A and parked a 5er long term).

I'm not sure of the legality (Criminal/Traffic) of towing beyond your tow vehicle's MCGVW but I am sure of the civil law.

If you run into me because you could not stop in time. .It's one of the things I'm going to ask the investigating officer to look into and if you are overweight.... My Attorney.
