subaru 2018

I was sitting at my site and a coach pulled in and along behind it was a AWD 2018 Subaru wagon. I saw the guy get out to unhook he sees me coming and says I know what you going to say. How can you tow a awd he tells me it's a standard he just puts it in neutral. Tell me he had a 2014 before his kid has it now he got the latest one. He said that if Subaru says you can't tow and you screw it up they said we told you so no skin off or nose. He tell me it doesn't add miles on it while being towed either.
  • I’m unconcerned when others go against manufacturer’s recommendations unless it endangers me or others.
  • I've owned Sub's (more or less always) since 1981
Most of their manuals transmissions you can tow flat
I think it was my 95 you had to put a special fuse in that disconnected the rear, then you could dolly tow it (it had an automatic)

But don't try flat towing an automatic awd

Again someone didn't read the whole post. He said he flat towed a 2014 and gave it to one of his kids which they still drive and his 2018 he tows now so it's not just not one.
