Suggestions take truck for hook up repair battery connection

Kind of a long subject line, sorry. I'm not sure how to make it shorter. My problem is that the power or connection from the truck to my RV doesn't charge the battery on the RV. Everything else...

At the under hood fuse box, there is a stud that feeds the trailer-- right above that stud, you will see a big fuse-- that is a "dummy" fuse -- looks like a fuse. Replace the dummy with a 40 amp fuse

If I remember the dummy that needs replacing is in Stud #1
