Suggestions take truck for hook up repair battery connection

Kind of a long subject line, sorry. I'm not sure how to make it shorter. My problem is that the power or connection from the truck to my RV doesn't charge the battery on the RV. Everything else...

It also appears that the charge wire is only energized (somehow) when the tow/haul button is on or when the headlights are fully on (not just the DRL's)...it is not a constant hot 12V.


May be true for OP truck but not for my 2008 with dual batteries.
My trailer battery will go dead in 2 days when not plugged in. Hook up the truck and everything is fine, including slides and jacks.
