I think it's hot everywhere. We have been getting up to 90 but with the humidity " the heat index" brings it to somewhere around 105-110. When it gets that hot the climate is unstable and torrential rains or tornados pop up fast. We have had both this week. Tornados not far from home and some parts of the area got 6 inches of rain in under three hours. So afternoons without electricity, lots of downed trees and building damage and rain along with the heat are what we are getting.
That bring said, I still wouldn't want your heat in AZ either. Stay cool.
