As to your first question, Generally ABS systems play no role in the decision. ABS systems are active only when the engine of the toad is on. As I recall, the M & G Tow Brake has an installation problem with a certain type of ABS system. The M & G system also requires that the toad have power brakes.
A suggestion, start a new thread with your questions. This particular thread doesn't get monitored by the regulars in Dinghy Towing.
