I have installed the invisibrake in our 2006 honda crv but i cannot find a - ground on the brake switch. My honda dealer says there is no ground at the switch. There is 4 wires coming out of the switch. If some one knows about this it would be a great help. The next plan was to hook up a seperate brake switch along side the other one.Any feed back would be great.
You shouldn't need a ground from the towed vehicle brake switch if I understand your question correctly. The connection from the brake light switch in the towed vehicle is from the "cold" side of the switch. The reason is that you want power for the monitor system to go to the motorhome/towing vehicle to show a dashboard signal only when the brakes activate, so you are looking for the lead that only has power on it when the brakes are pushed in the towed vehicle. From that lead, you would splice a lead that goes to your towing vehicle monitor system using a towing vehicle ground lead to light the lamp and start the warning buzzer timer.
Your install directions shows a good wire diagram for the monitor system on page 14, figure 17.
