Survey-How do you reserve?

The only time I stay at a private park is if I'm attending a rally - for those, I mail in my reservation to the club wagonmaster.

The rest of the time, I'm staying at NFs, BLM, and COE campgrounds. If it's a seasonal campground only open for a limited time, I reserve online well ahead of time so I can get my favorite campsite. If it's a year round campground, I tend to go in the off-season and don't bother with reservations at all. This has worked 100% of the time (knock on wood).

About 100% of our public campground reservations are done online (Reserve America or Recreation.gov) and west of the rockies. About 100% of our reservationa west of the rockies for private parks are made over the phone.

If you want a reservation at a Florida state park, it's through Reserve America, or not at all.

Same here. I've reserved over the phone only once in the last 4-5 years.

Probably 80% online and 15% by phone the last 5% by won't and prayer

Most of the places we stay do not take reservations... first come. Will call in the afternoon when relocating and resupplying.

Probably about even, 50% on-line and 50% by phone when we want reservations. When going from one spot to the next we frequently stop at Cracker Barrel for the night.

People who mostly do it online: Are you staying at public parks? Or east of the rockies? Out west, online reservations that work (don't give an error message) seem rare, for private parks. Or I am not looking at the right parks :).
