When I was towing pop ups, sway was rare so just add a little weight to the front and all will be good. If you were towing it home empty then that is not a good thing to go by. Most pop ups do not need anything other than ball, hitch and chains. If you get a little sway, change speed or changing lanes will stop it generally. If you do wish to go with sway control, the main place you would have an issue is backing into a site so get into the habit of unhooking it while registering at the campground.
