Equalizer bars are trunion bars to equalize the weight and there is absolutely no sway protection at all in them.I would love to know who started that misnomer years ago.I have hauled 2 million miles worth of new rigs out of Indiana over the years and always have had my hitch work done there, usually at Dan's,and learned real quick from them about using a correct sway control bar and I daily see people that use only equalizer bars thinking they have sway control, and that is not true at all.
Buy a proper sway control bar, they are cheap and cheap to install and watch how that rig reacts. You won't even feel a semi and cross winds will be barely noticeable.
Not trying to be rude at all but I will at my age and with my experience professionally and now as a full timer and with the help of professional hitch shops like Dan's,stand by what I am saying till you know where freezes over.
I feel that strongly about it.
