I read through the forum and cannot find my exact issue, so I apologize if this question has come up elsewear. I recently got a 17' TT Forest River 17bhse, towing with a 2015 f150 with a class 3 hitch, WD hitch. During my first outing, had a lot of side to side movement of the truck even at lower speeds, and saw the trailer moving a bit. I then added x2 traction sway control bars due to the weight of the trailer and also measured the tongue weight to be about 600lbs, which according to what i read, should be good for that trailer. My question is, despite these modifications, I recently took a trip which was about 2 and a half hours. Going 55mph or under, there was no sway at all, I will mention that i did tighten up the sway bars quite a bit. When we got on a bigger highway, the moment i started getting into the 60mph range i felt my truck side to side again and saw some sway in my trailer, forcing me to back down to 55mph again, taking the sway away. I'm not sure if this is normal, or if i'm doing something wrong? Towing at faster speeds is incredibly uncomfortable and makes me very nervous. Any input would be very helpful. I will also add that i did also check all my tire pressures, which were confirmed to be at recommended PSI on each one.

Add tongue weight. As much as you can get away with.

Go through your WDH setup procedure again on as flat and level a place as you can find. Sway is usually associated with TT tongue light, tail heavy. Try moving some of the trailer load forward of the axle.I always pump my TV tires up near maximum sidewall marked pressure when towing. It stiffens the sidewalks for less flex. While the door frame placard from the factory states the recommended pressure for the maximum load, it is also a trade off for passenger comfort. IMO, passenger physical comfort ranks well below driver towing comfort. You added sway control bars? Those are friction controlled and the friction is manually adjustable.

where are your tanks, often potable water is up front. filling the tank can add weight just don't forget to refill it and empty the waste tanks in the rear before the journey home. can also add larger propane tanks, more battery or some bikes to the front. make sure the trucks tires are aired up too. lastly if your nose high that will hurt you get er level if not slightly nose down.

water tank is more towards the front, and i did just adjust the hitch higher to take away some dip, so maybe that hurt me more than helped me, i will try to lower the hitch as well and confirm the water tank location, thank you very much! The truck tires are inlfated to 35PSI, per truck sticker, rated up to 65, how close to max PSI can i safely go?

if the door says 35, stay at 35. try to get the trailer as level as possible with nose down better than nose up.

Get rid of the4 ply tires on the truck get a better tire

Often "P metric" tires are the culprit. They are for nice soft ride, but leave a bit to be desired when towing.

35 PSI says P rated tires, but if yours say 65 PSI then they're LT tires, you're probably way underinflated, verify they're LT tires and inflate to manufacturer spec.

I just checked out my tires, and it appears i gave inaccurate information, i appologize I have M&S General grabber AT2's max PSI is 44
