Many U-Haul places do propane, but they are usually among the highest prices. Pilot/Flying J often have propane (their mobile app can tell you about nearby locations), many Camping World locations, and a lot of RV parks do too. If there is an RV park, someone in reasonable distance likely sells propane. Ask at the park office/campground host. Google can be helpful too.
