Right on - the key to continuous service is having two bottles. I use a suitcase scale to weigh the tank and know when it needs filling. Leave the full one turned off so you can't miss the other going empty.
Now if you are boon docking more than two weeks with no propane seller, you have a good reason to use the thirty pounders.
