tailgating is one reason for the large chain collisions. i have seen cars sandwiched between semis all tailgating over the speed limit. i keep to the right at 58 to 60 and ignore the tailgater. usually he will turn off at an exit or pass after a few minutes. no sense in letting them ruin my trip.
