Tailgating at Michigan football game

Has anybody tailgated at a Michigan football game with your rv? I see you can park at the brown lot. Anybody here been there in the past? Here are my questions.
How early do we have to arrive before 7am entry time?
How much room is there?
Is it worth bringing the camper?
Thanks in advance.

I do not want this to get into college wars, just asking about tailgating..

  • Thanks so far for the info. I was hoping someone has been to the brown lot for more info on size of the four parking spaces you get. The number I called today was no help at all.. ( I think the girl was blond) LMAO!!!!!
  • Pioneer High School allows them to park Friday evening. They are $250. Reservations suggested. Check out options at www.mgoblue.com/genrel/082609aab.html

I own a house 1 block from the 50 and park my Class B there & then sell parking to cars; $35 - $30. Big motorhomes are too much for my yard.

I am upset that UM just got the city to close Main street from 1 hour before kickoff until every game ends. They say since they expanded the stadium a few years ago out to the sidwalk they're afraid of car bombs. Why didn't they tell the city that when they were seeking permission to expand the stadium? This may hurt my parking revenue. And will hurt all residents who run errands during the game as there is no traffic then.
  • Its expensive. Last year was about $160. Opens at 7am. Its a ball, but crowded. Go Blue!
