Was hoping to see my first live bear mauling last time.
Big sow black bear spotted. Whole buncha people stopped and running into the woods after her.
Rangers are here by now but having trouble getting the idiots corralled. We’re walking a little ridge line about 100yds out watching. We can see the Cubs from up there. Idiots and Asian bus tourists can’t and just keep getting closer.
Bottom line, nothing happened. But I had my phone ready!!!

There is a geyser known as "Fishing Cone" in Yellowstone. It is immediately adjacent to Yellowstone Lake. In the very early 1900s it was a popular activity to actually catch a trout in the lake and swing it on the line into the Fishing Cone boiling the trout. The lucky angler added some salt and had a lakeside meal. Boiling fish in geysers and hot pots was outlawed in Yellowstone around 1912. The guy in the article was just born 110 years too late.

I guess his goose is cooked!

Humans have been cooking in Yellowstone hot springs for hundreds of years, more likely thousands. Not a new idea.

He won't get first prize but, he's a runner up for the Darwin Awards.

If someone is that stupid, they need a little jail time to think about it.
