Time to try taking the camper out

THE wife's uncle was telling me about one plan that would even tow your rv back home if you were sick not able to yourself. My son has roadside assistance they send a tow truck to change a flat. Very glad you made through ok. Hopefully your next trip will be smoother

Yikes, I'm glad to hear you made it home without injury. It's sad that nobody stopped to help you change the tire. Maybe you should think about getting some roadside assistance plan so that you know you can get help in these situations, at least until you're better. Do you have any idea why it blew?

I had a similar experience with my F-350 but it was the left front. Luckily it didn't lose air but it peeled like an orange and the flapping rubber did over $1200 damage to the truck. I pushed my luck by not getting new tires before the trip and I was very thankful we weren't involved in a major accident and injured. Major lesson learned there.

Worked out pretty well. As soon as we got to cg some friends saw us come in and helped with set up. Learned to ride my bike again and after a few days I could ride better than walking so great therapy for me.
Coming home was a nightmare. Blew right rear tire and tore up bed side. Took dw and I about two hours to change it and wore me slap out. We decided to stop and rest overnight in a state park and got caught in a dang tornado at midnight! No damage to us but trees and limbs everywhere. Other than trip home it was good for DW and I to get out for a change.
