Have never taken out the tv in any of my last 5 trailers over 20 years, no problem. Dealers do not take them out and there are thousands of frozen TV's in trailers on their lots all over northern USA and Canada.
Thats my theory. - Jim_ShoeExplorerIf you leave your TV in your RV over the winter, all the pixels will freeze and fall in a pile at the bottom of the screen.
Just Kidding. :B - Dutch_12078Explorer IIThe quick explanation for leaving LCD TV's in place is that there is NO liquid in an LCD, only crystals that have some liquid like properties. They do not freeze.
- Crazy_RayExplorerLeave it in
- KJINTFExplorerHeat destroys them - typically not cold
- tenbearExplorerNever have, no reason to.
- RoyBExplorer III take one of my flat screens out since it is easy to do. This is a 22-inch VIZIO. My other trailer is hard to remove so I leave it in. This is a 26-inch VIZIO.
The problem is not getting cold but when you try to use the Flatscreen TV again. You must get the room up to normal temperature before you turn the TV on to use it...
This is what works for me at any rate...
