Talk about bad dumb luck!!

Seems if it weren't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all. We bought our 5er 2 years ago, and in the first month after getting it home, a storm took down a limb and puched a hole thru the roof membrane and then thru the fiberglass side. Luckily, the roof membrane hole was small enough that a 5 inch square of Eternabond and a little dicor fixed that issue, and then a trip to a friends body shop fixed the sidewall.

Well, last night we had another storm and sure enough....a hole thru the ETERNABOND on the roof. Same doggoned spot. I could hardly believe it. Thank goodness I keep a tube of Dicor on hand. But I sure never hoped to have to use it. What lousy luck!

    Limbs are nothing. It's those @#€*×#@ acorns. Worse than hail stones.

    OK then. Keep the patching material handy, cause that is not bad luck, just bad planning. Were it me. I know I would clear out a large space around my RV. All the trees that are close enough to drop a limb on it, would be GONE.

    Or just keep on patching.

    The problem with the notion of cutting that or any other tree down on our property, is that our entire 5 ac is trees. 100% wooded except for where the house, drive, and shop are. There are no dead limbs, just storm damage to live limbs. So...I guess I'll have to live with the consequences for the moment.

    What are the odds? Exact spot? Amazing. As someone else posted atleast it is not a brand new hole.

    Look at the bright side. You didn't get another hole in the fiberglass side.
    And, the hole in the roof is in the same spot so you won't have another patch to monitor for leaks.

    But, it was sucky luck. :(
