I see advertised a device invented by Tesla that cuts your electric bill. Can't seem to find any info on this.

Yes, we have Tesla to thank for the AC electric motor. He and Edison got into quite a battle between AC and DC current. Edison used the Electric Chair as an example how dangerous AC power was.
