  • There is 'was' an RV park in Port Aransas, Texas that was completely totally wiped out. Pictures of 5th wheels torn apart and TT's and MH's ripped of the frames and thrown all over. I pray that all those people evacuated and no one stayed behing to ride out the storm in their RV.

Pictures all over the internet. This definitely looked more like a Snowbird seasonal park than a mobile home park where people lived. By the concrete pads, shore stations and type of RV's.

If anything these horrific pictures stand to show people that one should never hunker down in an RV in a storm.

They refer to one of the RV parks destroyed as a 'caravan' RV Park. Anyone from Texas know what 'caravan' refers to?

  • RV's in the Rockport area turned over everywhere. Some are shreds. Livestorms media have a bunch of good view videos on YouTube, of the aftermath. These guys are storm chasers that rode the storm out. It's video without the jiber jaber. Me and the wife watched a bunch of clips for hours last night.
  • south louisiana has had some tornados 1 trailer has been flipped on its side in hackberry
  • We're in N/W Houston and we're OK for now. We've had several small tornadoes and reported 15" of rain in the last 12 hour period. Lots more rain expected with total accumulation of more than 35" next day or so. The city is beginning to flood. The storm isn't expected to clear our area until Tuesday at the earliest. It has stalled just west of the city which puts us on the "dirty" side. The S/E side of the city is hardest hit, but the entire area is suffering. Please keep my fellow Houstonians in your thoughts and prayers.
    Thank you

  • Here in Coupland (about 20 miles east of Austin), 15 inches of rain so far in around 24 hours and another 10+ forecast for this week. We average 31 inches per year.
  • Some winds (around 20mph) and intermittent light rain here in San Antonio. No problems for my family.

Any campers in the southernmost 75 miles, which includes the Rio Grande Valley are in good shape. Ironically, we really need rain.
