Our family camps more than most. My family has been blessed many many times by the kindness and helpfulness of camp ground hosts. A kind word, helpful directions, junior ranger program in Oregon. We do foster care and many times the camp hosts have extended kindness to kids new to camping. We have witnessed camp hosts dealing with stuff that is, or should'nt be, part of their job. In short Thank You so very much.

I'll add my thanks. I have had so many recommendations of places to see & photograph provided by hosts that I find them my favorite source. Thanks again to all!

Our saddest camping day was when we arrived at a park we hadn't been to since the previous season (lake Easton) and saw a sign over the information board that had a memorial dedicated to a fellow we called "Tab" (Tabacheck) who had hosted there for many years.

As a camp host for 7 months per year, you are welcome. Helping people is why we do it. When we find someone that appreciates it makes it all the better!

wow rarintogo we live on Whidbey I spend lots of time at fort warden love it there don't camp much there but the park is always well kept good job and thank you

We work (or play) as Camp Host 4-6 months out of the year at Fort Worden State Park in Washington. We love it when campers tell us how nice the park is. It is a great job. Like some have said, most campers are great - the others we just try to forget. :) Happy New Year.

The smiles of campers, and other volunteers, knowing we are making a difference, helping the Rangers, and seeing people enjoying the campground, visitor centers or day use area is why we volunteer - nice to see the thank you postings though, that is the icing on the cake.

Thank you! The 'thank you's' are what keeps us going. Especially on the clean bathrooms. It is so....nice to be noticed. Currently located below Palm Canyon at KOFA.

We camp host 7 months out of the year and we do appreciate when someone tells us how nice the park looks or how nice the host are.

We hosted for 9 years in every part of the country. The vast majority of the folk we dealt with were great. The rest are not worth mentioning.
